Kenojhar, the Bhuswarga of Odisha
Keonjhar :08.02.2014 :OBB: Keonjhar is a land locked district with an area of 8240 km2. It is situated in the northern part of Odisha. It is surrounded by Singhbhum district of Jharkhand in the North, Jajpur in the South, Dhenkanal and Sundargarh in the West and Mayurbhanj and Bhadrak in the East. It lies between 21°1'N and 22°10'N latitudes, between 85°11'E and 86°22'E longitude and at 480 meter altitude. Baitrani river originate from Keonjhar plateau.
Traditional belief suggests ,a stream(Jhar) flows from the hill at Dhabaleswar Temple at Kendujhar has got the Kimbadanti being a secret stream (Jhar) and down the hill ,the said steam has taken the shape big water source , and that being so ,the name of erstwhile Kendujhar is named by the then king .The place being the source of the stream still remains a mystery .One may not believe unless sees in own eyes as to how the flow of the stream comes down and supported the cause of human race as a whole .Kendujhar does not hold mines alone it is rich in its culture .girls may be of Advasi or mufusil culture ,sensitised with spiritual belief.
