EASTERN INDIA PHILATELIC EXHIBITION (EIPEX-2014):
Eastern India Philatelists Association (EIPA) conducted for two days (from 8th Feb to 9th Feb, 2014) philatelic exhibition named as EIPEX-2014 at Bhubaneswar. Around one hundred frames were exhibited during exhibition. During this exhibition a Special Cover was released on 9/2/2014 on the theme "Save Our Environment" at Mangalajodi by Hon'ble Minister Shri Bijoyshree Routray.

The scenic beauty of this small village Mangalajodi which is a marshland on the northern edge of Chilika Lake that attracts thousands of migratory birds, coming from distant places of the world and also attracts the tourists . This is a unique incident to release the Special cover at the site of the bio-diversity. The wilderness it offers to the visitors has the potential to generate a harmonious co-existence between man and nature.
The Special Cover is approved by the Department of Posts with a pictorial contribution on birds and was put on sale by the organizers.
